Patchwork Pincushion

I made a little pincushion today, it took me simply ages, I did it just to prove to myself that I could do it and I did it the best I could. I took a photo to compare future work when I craft another one. I did like the vibrant colours and the jolly polka dot button to finish it off.

The style of patchwork that I used is called Cathedral Patchwork and the work is said to resemble a stained glass window.

The plus side is that it looks very pretty.
The downside is it takes me ages and there is lots of ironing and cutting out + it takes a lot of material to do.

There are a number of free cathedral patchwork tutorials on google to instruct the novice patchwork maker ie ME.

I may make more of a success of it with practice, should the need arise or I have a large stash of fabric to use up.

All in all useful, pretty and an excercise in patience, result a pretty patchwork cushion already in use.
