Chelsea flower show

What a week for gardeners and flower enthusiasts like myself who just love Chelsea flower show and this year it is their 100th  centenary, first starting in the Royal Hospital Chelsea ground in 1913.For sheer colour on the dull rainy days we have had a bit of colourful tv with lots of glorious flowers fills my greed for colour.

Wow the colours in this garden were hot, done in association with raising awareness of water aid development the zing of this pink and orange together is one of my favourite flower colour combinations.
Mindfullness

This Australian exhibited garden won a gold medal and then won best in show as well, the cheer from the sussies could be heard the length of Chelsea walk.
This was another stunning garden, that took you through gardens from the beginning of the century to now.
100 years of Chelsea

No I couldnt go but I watched it all the same and took some photos via the tv.
My love of gardening goes back to when we first had our new home built, and the week we moved in I marked out a path.
It has been a joy to me for over 30 years making new gardens and corners of the garden. At the moment my husband is making me a sensory garden with a small water tub and fountain in a tub, its already attracting the birds. One blackbird tried to have a shower under it, dancing around the rim of the tub!!
I have some new wooden wind chimes, lavenders for scent. There is a lot more to be done but its coming on beautifully, I shall put some pictures on when it is looking at its best.
