Shugborough Hall and craft fair

Day out today, after the nice weather of two weeks ago, woah but it was a cold wind that was blowing across the fields and NO sunshine.
Craft and food festival on at Shugborough Hall so we took ourselves along for a day out, we could also look around the gardens of the estate which are beautiful.

Shugborough Hall

A few photographs of some of the stands and vans in the marquee arena, I bought some nice wooden wind chimes for the garden from one of them.

This chap was hurdling along at the speed of light making Hurdles Get it Hurdling along Hurdles, no never mind my sense of humour, he whipped up this little piece of fencing in ablout half an hour.
Now these two lovelies from the camp kitchen were indeed CAMP, what was so funny was my husband thought they were the real deal as in WOMEN not guys. Anyway they looked lovely.
From this guy with bowler hat we had porkpie topped with leeks and stilton, and we had them hot for our tea in the evening totally yum scrum deliciousness, made from old spot gloucester pigs.
Riverford farm boxes were nice, organic boxes of food whatever is in season delivered fresh to your door.
John Christophe Novelli was cooking in the demonstration kitchen in one of the marquees, too far away to get a close up shot of him. It was cold sitting in the open marquee listening to him and watch so we headed off to look at....TH Pretty Polly Parrot show.

What gorgeous birds, well trained and handled and all rescued by this man, donations were free after the performance and children could have their picture taken with them.

Next a lot of photos of the gardens.

Much needed colourful Rhododendrons

Much needed colour and serenity , from the bright of the rhododendronds, the lilac blue of the bluebells, and the copper beech leaves unfurling. A lovely place to walk and relax before heading of home.
